The Atlantic Coast

For the last section of our trip, we stayed in campgrounds along Atlantic Coast and studied the ecology of many areas nearby.  The Atlantic coast is rich with animals and plants as the Atlantic Ocean houses some of the most complex life and habitats in the world.   The landscape of the Atlantic coast consists of ocean, wooded areas, sandy beaches, marshes and dunes. This was the first time we had done site studies in a body of water that is not fresh, with very little soil throughout the area. This made our study much more interesting as everything in the area was foreign to us.
